Some Klingon revisionist history based on "General George Washington crossing the Delaware at the Battle of Trenton on Christmas night 1776" by Emmanuel Leutze. Needless to say a big hit at conventions amongst Klingon fans.
I don't like this, I LOVE THIS!!! What better way to glorify the Klingon Empire and her people with a glorious sight! Glory, power and HONOR to the Klingon Empire! Also, the way its painted is so reflective of the original George Washington painting. Nonetheless, it does justice. HONOR TO KAHLESS AND THE KLINGON PEOPLE!
I am depressed that no matter how long I live, I will never see anything as awesome as G'horje Wa'shi'gn'taan crossing the D'khel'waar river to deliver the righteous wrath of a thousand Kahlesses upon the Hessians.
The actual piece is huge, it's 3x5 feet and currently hanging in my living room. I'm glad so many people like it, unfortunately the print for it has been rejected due to the inclusion of copywritten images. Maybe I can entreat Wil to help me out on that front.
And yet, only 10 comments to date. This is worth *MUCH* more than that. Revisionist humor notwithstanding, this is exceptionally well done. The concept is both amusing and thought-provoking, and the care taken in the brushwork is amazing. Wonderful detail in the uniforms and facial expressions. All in all, this is an outstanding piece. How big is the original?
