Part of a series of Parody Art I do for conventions, begun with "Klingons crossing the Delaware". This one is based on a famous painting called the Arnolfini Wedding by Jan Van Eyck. Anyone who has taken an Art History Class should be familiar with it. This version features a certain annoying Jedi and his Senator bride.

OMG this is awesome! I just got done doing a Futurama version of this painting - this was tough! Great job...

Loving a bit of Jan van eyck appropriation! I feel so overwhelmed at the co-existance of Star Wars and traditional Formalist painting. You have captured the symbolism of the original perfectly, with an interesting twist.
