For the first time in my carrer I will be showing my illustration work in a public space that isn't a convention. I'm very much looking forward to putting my work up on the wall and talking to other creatives about what I do. Check out the Facebook www.facebook.com/event.php?eid… event  for more details. For those of you not on Facebook the event is at the Gladstone Hotel, Second Floor Lobby and Studio Rooms, 1214 Queen St. West in Toronto. If you live in Toronto come on by and take a look at all the great art on the walls.

It's also worth noting that I have created a new piece for this show, the fourth in my series of seasonal steampunk illustrations. I'm pretty happy with the way this turned out especially considering the time I had to complete it. All it all it took about 15 hours from start to finish.

The first of two appearances out of the office. It's an open event, so come on down if you live in Toronto. Looking forward to seeing people there.

My latest piece "Underwater Explorer" is featured in VENT, the 10 year anniversary art book from UDON Entertainment. Included in VENT is artwork from all the usual UDON crew, featuring art that comes from their own imaginations. Every one of these artists are working on projects of their own and this book celebrates them as successful brands in their own right.

I for one, am totally looking forward to seeing this in print.

So finally my internet promotions challenged self has begun a blog. It can be found on my website www.leoillustrator.com. I will be updating it weekly when I can and it will feature my warmup sketches from the previous week. Everything from gestures to environmental speedpainting. Occasionally there may be hints of other projects I am working on that will soon make their way to the gallery in a more finished format.

Here's 4 more pieces I did for the folks at Ye Olde Gaming Companye, for their Wayfarers RPG. The pieces are seasonal and combined the themes of the magic system with the season with an elemental association with 2 of 3 recurring characters.
I tried to focus more carefully on the composition in these pieces and I'm relatively happy with the result. Still have a ways to go though...
